I am a queer, extroverted, paper nerd who laughs easily and believes in the power of empathy and interdependence.

I actively choose to betray whiteness, and will be in a life-long relationship with what that looks like.

Pens, paper, and stationery are analogue tools that have always brought me solace. In addition to Journal As Altar offerings, I am the founder of Collective Action Consulting, where I work with local and national partners to deepen our collective responsibility to prevent & intervene in all forms of violence and trauma (interpersonal violence, system based violence, societal violence). Obtaining a Master’s in Social Work from Portland State in 2009, with a focus on childhood trauma, I have worked with communities, families, and individuals impacted by trauma for over 20 years. My work lives at the intersection of anti-racist and trauma informed practices, with a focus on children and families. I work from the truth that violence is prevented when equity, justice, and love are centered.

Through 20 years of trauma and healing work with communities, children, and families, my most restorative form of self-care is keeping several art journals, diaries, scrapbooks, notebooks, and planners as a meaningful, spirit-filled practice.

I live with my hot spouse in Portland, OR with our two beloved cats, Ruth & Mon Petite Chou. We have lots of plants.
